Jul. 25th, 2017 08:00 pmSo, Megaera here has a few special abilities worth noting, that players may wish to be aware of and opt into or out of.
She is a Succubus and also a fairly powerful Wizardess, with a few other tricks up her sleeve (She's Tristalt right now.) In particular, this means she can do the following particular things:
* At-will, she can charm someone, causing them to think of her as a trusted friend against their better judgment. People so charmed do not necessarily automatically obey her, but think favorably of whatever she says. The effect lasts up to ten days, unless she releases it, or actively threatens the person; if she tries to get them to act severely against their nature ("Can't make a paladin eat a baby, can't make a blackguard eat a baby without ketchup"), they have a chance of snapping out of it as well. If they're attracted to her, they're much more likely than normal to act on it; what this entails is up to the individual, and it will have no such effect on gay men, straight women, asexuals, etc.
* At-will, she can place a suggestion on someone, making them believe a single statement of one or two sentences, and act accordingly. She can't make them do something sufficiently obviously stupid or dangerous ("Can't make anyone jump off a cliff if they can't fly, can't make someone punch a wall until their arm breaks"), and it has a chance of failing of it'd make them act severely against their nature (see the 'baby ketchup' test above).
* If she's prepared it, Megera can dominate someone, locking down their thoughts and putting them into a state of witless obedience to her. They get a chance to resist and even break entirely free under any condition that would cause her charm or suggestion to fail, above; further, the control's rather extremely obvious.
* If she's prepared it, Megaera can modify someone's memory, restricted to five minutes - erasing a memory, planting a false one, etc., as long as it's within the same five-minute span.
Feel free to opt out of any or all of these, or place conditions! Keep in mind, Megaera is of Good alignment; she will not use these for actions of significant malice (as opposed to petty fun or a more important cause), and is generally going to be very respectful of people's boundaries without good reason to do otherwise. If she gets controlled, though, she takes the view that proportionate payback is fair game.
